Keeping you up to date with the all the latest work from students, staff, and graduates of the programme, and highlighting the best work & events for 3D Designers from around the world.
Unit X this year created another diverse body of work from Level 4 and 5 students. The final outcomes were exhibited across two venues in Manchester, New Century House and Federation House.
Unit X is a cross Faculty unit that encourages students to work interdisciplinary and collaboratively with other students, sometimes from their ‘home’ Programme and sometimes from new Programmes. This collaborative nature draws together the experiences, skills and enthusiasm of students from across Manchester School of Art, and ultimately leads students to gain many new experiences, explore new territory, and gain and disseminate their skills. The experience also aims to foster and encourage the development of future networks for students.
Tackling various themes across Manchester (Level 4) and working with the National Trust (level 5) students were able to develop a range of ideas and produce outcomes that reflect their learning and practice.
With much activity, team work and collaboration taking place there was lots of space and enthusiasm to develop ideas, make and install the student work within a short timeframe. Students and staff worked hard to produce a show that the public, students and their families were proud of at the private view on Thursday evening.
There is too much work to show in the Blog so below are just a few tasters and highlights from across both year groups in Three Dimensional Design.
Well done to everyone that took part!
