Sharon was invited by former graduate, Angela Watson, to give a talk at Birkenhead 6th Form College about the 3D programme at MMU as well as her research into Mary Greg and the Collection of Handicrafts of Bygone Times held at Manchester Art Gallery.
Angela, Head of Art, Design and Technology at the college, began her teaching career in 1991, following the successful completion of a further, one-year PGCE at Sheffield. Over the years, Angela has taught across a range of subjects and levels at the college including; A Levels in Fine Art, Textiles, Graphics and Product Design; Level 2 BTEC Art & Design and Foundation Diploma.
She says “as you can see, the 3D programme at MMU made me very versatile!”
As a result of Sharon’s day at Birkenhead, a student from the college has applied to the course and will be joining us in September 2014 – we offer them a warm welcome!
Sharon would like to thank Angela and the staff and students at Birkenhead for making her feel very welcome and contributing to a stimulating day.
