Kirsteen Aubrey has recently installed an exhibit at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh as part of Visual Arts Scotland: Transformation.
Alice Kettle, Senior Research Fellow in Miriad at Manchester Metropolitan University, was one of five artists invited to exhibit her work. For this she collaborated with Kirsteen Aubrey and Amanda Ravaetz, a visual anthropologist and Senior Fellow in Miriad. The work spanned Textiles, Glass and Film and created a series of intriguing artworks- from wall mounted work to floor standing grasses and a film projection onto glass.
During the installation last week Alice and Kirsteen were visited by a journals from the Glasgow Herald to discuss the work, and the feature can be found at http://www.heraldscotland.com/arts-ents/visual/transformation-is-the-key-to-visual-arts-scotland-exhibition.117754826
The opening night on Friday 6th Feb was a crowded event, and the exhibition runs until 28th February.
Alice and Kirsteen are both exhausted but very happy with the results!
