BBC 4 Goes Slow

Check out these beautifully shot BBC 4 films on iPlayer (only available for another 26 days).

They show a glass maker (Michael Ruh) a metal worker (bladesmith Owen Bush) and wood worker (Jim Steele) making a jug, knife and chair respectively, in their workshops, featured as part of the BBC 4 Goes Slow series.  These short films give a good sense of the time it can take to make handcrafted functional objects and how this makes impact on the lifestyle choices of the maker.
