Keeping you up to date with the all the latest work from students, staff, and graduates of the programme, and highlighting the best work & events for 3D Designers from around the world.
Congratulations to all of our first and second year students that put on a spectacular show last night at Federation House in Manchester.
With just a day to install the show, everyone worked with commitment and enthusiasm (and some trepidation!) to put together a fantastic show that celebrated all of your hard work and endeavour over the last few weeks throughout the Project, Unit X.
Students responded to projects that focused on the Whitworth Art Gallery and Sensing the City, and a range of diverse work using media including wood, glass, metal, ceramics, rubber and coal, alongside a variety of processes (digital and handmade) to produce an eclectic display of work that truly reflected the diversity and creativity of the 3DD Programme. Well done!
There was a great turn out, with hundreds of people including VIPs, fellow undergraduates, families and friends to enjoy the work and speak to the students about their practice. The evening included a marching brass band, films, interactions on the Metro tram, and an enjoyable evening was had by all.
Congratulations to everyone who, despite a fire alarm mid-flow in the evening’s proceedings, responded professionally, patiently and calmly… and then returned to enjoy the remaining festivities!
A great evening, fantastic work and a wonderful way to celebrate the end of your year!
Congratulations to everyone involved. The show is open to the public until Saturday 16th May.
